About Drew
Across his career, Drew Van Pelt has been a CEO, Director, investor and entrepreneur.
Most recently, Drew completed a turnaround of his fifth-generation family business, Plymouth Tube – a manufacturer of steel and titanium components for the aerospace, oil, medical, space exploration, defense and heavy equipment sectors.
Prior to joining Plymouth, Drew was the youngest-to-date Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary company CEO, appointed by Warren Buffett. As CEO, Drew grew core market share and developed new markets, cut costs, and transformed the financial results of the business using a full suite of cultural, strategic and executional levers.
Prior to that, Drew served as President of Three Ships Media, rapidly growing this startup digital agency focused on customer acquisition and cementing a spot as one of the top-five Facebook advertisers in the world.
Throughout his career, Drew has been an active investor, completing a dozen acquisitions and equity investments spanning early stage startup to LBO to distressed bankrupt assets. In total, his investments returned 7x on $100m of invested capital.
Drew holds a bachelor's degree, cum laude, in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Claremont McKenna College and a M.B.A., as a Ford Scholar, from Harvard Business School.
