Inspiration

Tradepost seeks its inspiration from the attitude typified by the trade posts of old:  a desire to come together, create value together, and to leave the world better for it. In keeping with that affinity, we have adopted two symbols.

The first is a map of the old-world trade routes taken by our progenitors. We use this symbol to remind us to look broadly for potential opportunities and to seek new partners who share our values, from wherever they might originate. Like them, we do not feel constrained by unnecessary (real or imagined) boundaries in our search for value. We want our only limitations to be our ingenuity and industriousness resulting in the taking of intelligent risk.

The second is a coin issued by the Hudson Bay Trading Company to fix and exchange value. We use this symbol to remind us that, at the end of the day, our success is measured ultimately in the value we create for our investors and partners. We have altered the coin ever so slightly to make it ours: if you look closely, you will see that, instead of the original “HB” at the top, middle of the coin, we have substituted “TP” for Tradepost.
